Changes Made to Fish and Wildlife Act

Changes to the Fish and Wildlife Act that effect Taxidermy took effect in July 2013.

1) Furbearer Royalty;

You no longer require to pay a royalty to the Province for Furbearers. A 'License to Send Pelts to a Tanner' is no longer required to bring your Furbearers in for Tanning or Mounting

2)Possession of Accidently Killed Animals;

Registration of accidently killed animals is now done online through the MNR Registry. This includes Road kill and wildlife found dead.

Raptors including Owls, Hawks and Eagles no longer require to be inspected at an MNR office. You only need to register the Possession with the MNR Registry.
